The NEW SIRIUS 3RB2 Series of Solid State Overloads provides a new level of motor protection while increasing the flexibility of the SIRIUS family of control products.

The 3RB20/3RB21/3RB22/3RB23 solid-state overload relays are suitable for customers from all industries who want optimum inverse-time delayed protection of their electrical loads (e.g. motors) under normal and heavy starting conditions (CLASS 5 to CLASS 30). The overload relays have been designed for the protection of three-phase motors in sinusoidal 50/60 Hz voltage networks.

Increased Plant Uptime and Decreased Maintenance Time as a result of protecting loads (e.g. motors) from overloaded conditions, phase unbalance, and phase failures.

Minimized Installation Costs and Faster Commissioning Time resulting from the SIRIUS family designed concept of close coupling the overloads to the 3RT SIRIUS Contactors.

The New 3RB20 and 3RB21

The 3RB20/3RB21s are designed to replace the 3RB10 solid-state overloads .

  • 3RB20 solid-state overload relays,   Up to 630 A
    • Protects loads from overloaded conditions, phase unbalance, and phase failures
    • Self Powered overload requiring no external power supply,
    • CLASS 10 or CLASS 20, non-adjustable overload for defined starting applications
    • Straight-through (pass-through) versions are available for frame sizes S2 (6A min) to S6 (200A max). For easy retro-fit and simple installation.
  • 3RB21 solid-state overload relays,   Up to 630 A
    • All the features and benefits of the 3RB20 Plus the list below
    • Adjustable Trip CLASS 5 ... 30, for a wide range of starting applications
    • Selectable Internal Ground Fault, for increased load protection
    • Electrical Remote Reset   , for resetting the overload from a remote location (Requires power supply for the Electrical Remote Reset feature)

The NEW 3RB22/23s with Current Transformer are designed for more advanced applications.

The 3RB22/3RB23 solid state overloads are designed to replace the 3RB12 overloads. The 3RB22/3RB23 solid-state overload relays have been designed for the protection of three-phase asynchronous and single-phase AC motors.

  • 3RB22 -state overload mono-stable
  • 3RB23 solid-state overload bi-stable
  • Both 3RB22/3RB23 solid-state overload relays include
    • Full motor protection,
    • Large Setting Range 1:10, which lowers inventory
      • 3RB22/3RB23 - 11 Catalog numbers
      • 3RB12 - 126 Catalog numbers
    • Smaller Footprint than 3RB12, which saves panel space
    • Adjustable Trip CLASS 5 ... 30, for wide range of starting applications
    • Internal Ground Fault, for increased load protection from grounds
    • Integrated Electrical Reset, for resetting the overload from a remote location
    • 2 NO + 2 NC Auxiliary Contacts, for feedback
    • PTC Sensor Input, for increase motor protection
    • 4-20mA Analog Output, for monitoring the load
    • Function Expansion Modules, for increased flexibility
    • Accepts 24 ... 240 V AC/DC control supply voltage
